Niels Pflaeging - leadership philosopher, author, BetaCodex founder
Work the System. Ignite & produce thrust for enterprise-wide, next-level agility
The history of the agile movement has been a story of unquestionable success. Or so it seems. The reality of agile practice is rather bleak, if you look closer - in software development and beyond. What´s worse: In most organizations, a command-and-control, or “waterfall” backslash has occurred, and due to many reasons. By now, many members of the community have figured out ways for making a good living off of “Agile”. On the other hand collective efforts in the direction of “agile as earnest self-organization” have usually fizzled out, or stalled entirely. While blaming clearly does not help to improve that situation, we should ask ourselves now what has been missing in The Great Game of Agile. The good news is: The answers to that question are already here. Niels Pflaeging will offer and discuss insights into what we need to do to get to next-level agility. Enterprise-wide. Everywhere.
Expect your current level of thinking to be challenged!
Alena Keck - Lean-Agile Enterprise Transformation Leader
Overcoming challenges of Agile Transformation in Automotive Industry. Creating a strong Foundation for your Transformation Journey
Automotive Industry has some unique challenges when it comes to Agile Transformation. Traditionally being strongly hardware- and requirements-driven – now moving towards million lines of code, while facing ambiguity of new regulations. In her presentation, Alena distinguishes between challenges related to foundational building blocks of the transformation and industry-specific challenges. You won’t be successful in mastering the industry-specific challenges, if you don’t create a strong foundation for your transformation journey.
Get some directly applicable ideas for our own agile transformation and learn how some automotive companies demonstrated exceptional AGILITY overnight during the current pandemic.
Nils Oud - Professional Trainer, Coach and Agilist
How to Spark, Drive and Communicate Change in an Agile way, and not plan-driven.
Detailing the entire agile transformation upfront when transitioning from a plan-driven to a value-driven organization neither makes sense, nor does it carry the right message between executives and the rest of the organization during an agile transformation. In some instances, the agile transformation comes to a standstill and may even fail.
In his talk, Nils outlines a new, agile approach to change. And not just for the large, corporate transformations, but also for the smaller, local changes. This approach is based upon over 10 years of experience, and combines elements from Lean (improvement kata), the agile manifesto, the liberating structures and evidence base management. It has grown into a structured practice for consistent improvement.
The company Incrementor calls the approach ‘The Agile Transformation Kata’, and a detailed paper (written by Joe Krebs and co-authored by Nils Oud) and Case Studies are available.
